The Instagram search history is a list that brings together the profiles, hashtags, audios, locations and topics searched on the social network in the last 30 days. The platform allows you to turn off the research history in the application itself in just a few steps.
Another alternative is to clean the history of Instagram investigations by the Central de Contas da Meta. This process also allows you to turn off the search list without other linked accounts, and can be done from any device with central access.

How to turn off the Instagram app's hair search history
To find and turn off the search history of your account using the Instagram application, simply access the Explore button. Go or step by step below:
1. Open the Instagram app and tap Explore
Log in to your Instagram account, touch the magnifying glass icon, on the bottom left corner of the canvas, to access the Explore section of the social network.
2. Tap the search bar to see your recent searches on Instagram
Tap the “Search” field, at the top of the screen, to access the most recent searches done by yourself on Instagram.
3. Select “View all” to open all Instagram history
Tap the blue phrase “View All”, at the top right of the screen, to view all the social network search history of photos and videos for the last 30 days.
4. Tap “Clear all” to turn off the search history
Touch the blue phrase “Limpar Tudo”, on the top edge directly on the cloth. Select the “Clear Everything” option in the pop-up that will appear in the application to conclude the process of deleting the Instagram history.
How to clear Instagram investigations from Central Accounts
The Meta Account Central allows the exclusion of all recent investigations of linked accounts. These include your own Instagram and Facebook profiles.
In the tutorial below, we show how to access the Central Accounts app on Instagram. But you can also enter em accountscenter.facebook.com From a browser on your computer or cell phone, click directly on step number 4.
1. Access your Instagram profile
Open the Instagram app on your cell phone and touch the icon with your photo, at the bottom right of the canvas, to access your profile.
2. Tap the menu and access Instagram settings
Touch the Instagram menu (icon with three horizontal corners), on the top edge of the screen, and select the “Settings and Privacy” option.
3. Go to Central de Contas da Meta
Find the “Your Conta” section and touch the “Central de Contas” option.
4. Open the option “Your information and permissions”
The Meta Account Center provides several configuration options for both Instagram and Facebook profiles. Then, scroll down the application screen to find the “Account Settings” section and tap the “Your information and permissions” option.
5. Tap “Research History”
In the “Your information and permissions” area, access the “Research History” option to follow the procedure to exclude research on Instagram and on Facebook.
6. Tap the “Clear All Searches” button
The “Research History” screen shows all the profiles connected to your Account Central. Tap the blue “Clear all searches” button to turn off recent searches on your Target social networks.
7. Scope or period from which you want to exclude the history of investigations
This is the period that you want to clear the history of Instagram and Facebook. This option also excludes all recent search data that have been recorded in the Goal Account Information Reports:
- Last minute: excluded all investigations carried out in the last hour;
- Ontem: turn off all recent searches in the last 24 hours;
- From the beginning: clear all search history for the last 30 days in the Instagram and Facebook apps.
Then, touch the blue button “Clear all inquiries” to complete with only two dice.
How long does Instagram keep research history?
O Instagram keeps your search history for 30 days, per padrão. After this period, the profile information, hashtags, audios, locations and topics searched are automatically excluded from the application and the web version of the social network.
Is it possible to save Instagram research history?
Instagram does not have an option that prevents you from saving research history. However, the Meta Accounts Central allows you to configure a period for the apps to automatically clean recent searches.
In the “Research History” area, tap the “Keep Search By” option. Please keep the information for 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. Thus, the search data will be automatically excluded from the apps and the web version after the selected period.
Can I see the disabled searches on Instagram?
No. You can't see recent searches turned off due to privacy measures on Instagram. Therefore, you must type the first letters of the name of a profile that you access frequently or with which you interact, or Instagram tends to suggest people among the first results.
Can I recover the history excluded from Instagram?
No. Instagram does not allow you to restore history excluded from the social network. Once the searches are turned off, it is not possible to recover these data using the Meta Account Information Reports at the Meta Account Central.
How to turn off Instagram search history
