In the footsteps of the dinosaurs in Spain

In many locations in the country you will find museums, sites and routes in which these animals from another era are the protagonists. So today we follow in the footsteps of the dinosaurs in Spain and we will discover some of those places so that you can take them into account on your next excursions and getaways. Also, if you are traveling as a family, any of these plans will excite the little ones in the house.

Jurassic Museum of Asturias (MUJA)

Here you will find the Lost Ravine (Carretera Navalsaz s/n, 26589 Enciso, La Rioja), a paleoadventure park which includes a cretaceous museumlife-size dinosaur sculptures, climbing walls, adventure circuits and geysers.

But you can also follow the Enciso Dinosaur Trailwhich part of Enciso Paleontological Center (C. el Portillo, 3, 26586 Enciso, La Rioja) and continues to Navalsaz through seven sites. Remember that up to 1,400 dinosaur footprints have been found in Enciso.

Dinópolis Territory (Teruel)

We can’t talk about dinosaurs in Spain without taking into account the Dinópolis Territoryin the province of Teruel (Aragon). In fact, it is possible to take a route only through this province, discovering the sites and museums distributed in the capital and in the centers of other towns. The most notable is Dinópolis Teruelwith the paleontological museum3D cinema, the tour of the Jurassic Sea and the Saurio Park, among others.

But along with that they also stand out Mar Nummus in Albarracin; Valcaria, in Ariño; the Stone Forest in Castellotededicated to Paleogeography; legendark in Galvewhere it is possible to admire a family of Aragosaurus at actual size; Inhospitable in Peñarroya de Tastavins; Titania in Riodeva, specialized in gigantism; and the Amber Region in Rubielos de Mora, whose center is designed on a fossilized lake called Konservat-Lagerstätten. Dinosaur Route (Cuenca)

We now descend to the province of Basin (Castilla-La Mancha) to discover another itinerary dedicated to dinosaurs.
