Xavi Hernández will fulfill his contract with Barcelona. On January 27, after Barça lost 3-5 against Villarreal at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, the coach announced that he would leave the club at the end of the season. Three months later, the coach changed his mind. After a meeting between the leaders of the club’s sports project and the coach, the club confirmed to EL PAÍS that Xavi Hernández will stay at Barcelona until 2025, as stipulated in the contract that he had signed in September 2023.
