Women’s Association celebrates 25 years of experience | The USA Print

The Hispano-American Association of Professional and Business Women, HAPBWAcelebrated the celebration of its 25th anniversary with great splendor at a lucid party, where several members were recognized for their careers.

In addition, for the first time, the “HAPBWA Excellence Awards” are delivered.

Important representatives of the government sector, personalities from the business and social sectors of the Hispanic community were able to enjoy a night full of splendor and fellowship, with which HAPBWA begins a new era supporting the integral growth of its membership.

The association’s board of directors, chaired by Matty Frías and the president of the foundation, Mercedes Caballero, together with their respective boards, received proclamations from the Orlando Mayor’s Office by Commissioner Tony Ortíz and Luis Martínez, representing Mayor Buddy Dyer.

Likewise, letters of recognition were also delivered by Gary Berrios on behalf of Senator Rick Scott, and by Commissioner Maribel Gómez Cordero of Orange County District 4, and by the Vice Mayor of Kissimmee, Olga Castaño.

Matty Frías, president of the Association, highlighted the importance of being able to continue honoring the founders, making the entity bigger and developing memorable work for the benefit of its members.

During the gala, exhortation messages were presented by the former presidents of the association, and Zoraida Hernández was recognized for being a founding member and remaining active to date, as an important part of the foundation’s board of directors.

The 25-year celebration gala was the setting for the first installment of the “HAPBWA Excellence Awards”, where the members were winners, Cecilia Figueroa with the “HAPBWA Excellence Grand Award, Denisse Lama with Hispanic Family Counseling as “Company of the Year”, Jackie Barboza as “Businesswoman of the Year”, Sindy Muñoz as Professional of the Year” and Jessica Matabuena as “Entrepreneur of the Year”. The event was sponsored by Travel + Leisure, AARP and Aetna.

The culmination of the celebration of the 25 years of the association will end this December 12 with the “Christmas Party”, in honor of the members.
