A good part of the national team players are great protagonists of movie love stories and that of Angel Di Maria and Jorgelina Cardoso is one of them. The couple, unlike that of Lionel Messi and Antonela Roccuzzo, was not born in adolescence, nor in some neighborhood of their native Rosario, but rather emerged “thanks to the Internet”.
This was revealed by Cardoso to Marley, from New York, in a special Por el Mundo program during the Copa América. From the terrace of the Summit building, Di María’s couple remembered those first moments with the father of their daughters Mía and Pía.
“We met online, 15 years ago, in 2009, on Messenger,” Jorgelina said, amused because the chat platform through which they made their first contact no longer exists. “I sent him a message asking him to come back to Rosario Central,” she recalled, assuming herself to be a soccer fan.
“And that’s where we started… He answered me. Plus, her cousin is a friend of mine from high school. So we started chatting while he had already been living in Lisbon for two years, until he gave me the ultimatum and I traveled to meet him, he hurried me and I left “he recalled.

Furthermore, Jorgelina Cardoso explained what they share with Di María that makes them special: “We are very companions, that’s the secret, we are a little more than husband and wife, we are very close.”
