At least 22 festival-goers at the Highfield festival in the eastern German town of Grosspoesna have been injured in a fire involving two Ferris wheel cabins. Four of the injured suffered burns and falls, while the rest were hospitalised for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is not yet known. Despite the incident, the Highfield festival, the region’s largest rock event, which attracts around 25,000 people annually, has not been cancelled.
