Two men, presumably tourists, were killed on Friday, while a woman was wounded after being shot near a beach. in a busy tourist center in Acapulco, Mexico.
According to prosecutors in the state of Guerrero, on the Pacific coast, the two men, who were apparently Mexican tourists, were visiting a barbershop in the Puerto Márquez neighborhood before their fatal fate, The Associated Press reported.
According to a witness, the victims had arrived in Acapulco the day before to enjoy the Easter holidays.
The witness specified that the victims were traveling in all-terrain vehicles at the time the assailants arrived on a motorcycle and began shooting at them.
The victims were pronounced dead at the scene. after their bodies were found still inside the ATVs.
At the moment the authorities have not provided information on the condition of the survivor, who was taken to a local hospital before the police arrived.
The recent fatal event occurs in a context in which Acapulco has become a state where violence is the order of the daybeing at the mercy of drug cartels since 2006, but in recent years cases of armed violence have been on the rise.
