Two Florida women were arrested after taunting and abusing an elderly woman on a live stream, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said.

“The only good news, in this case, is that the victim is now safe and sound with real medical professionals who are with her and her family looking after her,” Ivey said at a news conference.

In the video broadcast live, two health workers can be seen allegedly mocking and verbally abusing the woman.

Jada Harris, 18, was arrested and faces charges of video voyeurism, abuse and neglect of an elderly or disabled adult, and interception or disclosure of wire communicationswhose bail was set at $6,000.

The second suspect was identified as Shy’Tiona Bishop, 20, on charges of video voyeurism, abuse and neglect of an elderly or disabled adult. Her bail was set at $4,000.

I’m pretty upset about this as you can seeIvey pointed out. “Our prison team, professionals that they are, will treat these two pieces of trash professionally and do their job.”

The bailiff expressed his agreement with the steps taken by the health center upon learning of the behavior, since the two workers were fired.

The suspects were booked into a Brevard County jail on Friday. Harris was released on bond and has a hearing set for May 9, while Bishop had her initial court appearance on Saturday and was also released on bond, according to online records.

Ivey has asked his team to work closely with the state’s attorney’s office and the court system to make sure they don’t go back to work on any kind of health care.

“I would not let a cobra be kept as a pet because it could accidentally bite them and die from poisoning”Ivey noted. “Not only are they bags of garbage, but the people who were there laughing and making fun of this poor lady, yes, you are bags of garbage too.”
