It is not the first time that the former president Donald Trump says the United States faces an invasion of immigrantsbut in his criticism of the government of President Joe Biden, the Republican stated that the country “cannot bear two more years.”

The ex-president said that it is time for the US to change its immigration policy.

“Now is the time that we have to fight to make sure that our country survives, because our country cannot bear two more years of this invasion“, he stressed.

The declarations occur a few days after the application of Title 42 on the border with Mexico ends, although the Biden Administration prepares the reinforcement of Title 8which will allow expedited care for immigrants and their expedited deportation.

The statement was recorded at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida residence, in reference to Title 42, a policy imposed in 2020 by the former president during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Title 42 ends May 11, but has allowed for more than 2.5 million removals of migrants since it went into effect.

On the end of what he qualifies as a “successful” policy, the ex-president predicted: “hundreds of thousands of people will arrive that day (…) and this will mean complete and total chaos and total anarchy, and an unlimited number of applicants for asylum fraud will flood the United States unchecked.”

“They are not controlled, no one has any idea where they come from. They don’t know if they are healthy, if they are sick, if they are crazy or if they come from prisons. Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants have already concentrated on the Mexican side of the border. They are preparing to fall by storm (in the US) ”, he predicted.

Trump, who is a candidate for the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential elections, in which Biden has already announced that he will seek re-election, only leaves the apocalyptic tone in the statement to ensure that with him back in the White House none of this will happen .

When you are sworn in on January 20, 2025, we will immediately begin the process of fully securing the border and expel the illegal aliens that Joe Biden has illegally allowed into our country,” he said.

The former president also noted that Congress must act immediately to end all funding for the “stop and release” policy, which he says has replaced his “stop and deport” policy during the Biden Presidency.

Trump did not mention in his statement the announced deployment of 1,500 reinforcement troops to the border with Mexico to support US Border Patrol agents.

The White House spokeswoman, Karine Jean-Pierre, specified in her daily press conference that these additional troops will carry out “administrative tasks” and will not “interact with immigrants”, which will allow border agents to focus on their functions of application of the law.

Trump leads all polls ahead of the Republican nominationfollowed by far by the governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, who has promoted a tough immigration law that will take effect on July 1 in the so-called “sunny state.”
