The coach of the Mexican soccer team Jaime Lozano did not hesitate to make a self-criticism on what was his first FIFA date as in charge of Tri, where they rescued a couple of draws against Australia (2-2) and Uzbekistan (3-3).
In a press conference after the match against Uzbekistan, Lozano made his discontent known and considered that the Aztec team received “a lot of punishment.”.
“I think all the high blood pressure was very bad. However, on a more positive note, The strategist rescued the job of the English Fulham striker Raúl Jiménezwho with a penalty goal against Australia and two more against Uzbekistan, earned Lozano’s praise.
“I loved Raúl Jiménez. I like Santi (Giménez) and I know him better, but they said that (Raúl) didn’t score goals, today he scored two. They said that there were only penalties, today he took two penalties. I already said it in the other conference (…) Any player in the world would like to be a starter in the Premier League. Those strikers need time, if they are good, they will be good for the rest of their lives”, Lozano said about “El Lobo”.
“Raúl Jiménez, for all the work he did, I think it was one of the finestwith three goals this week,” concluded the Mexican strategist.
