The brother of Chris Rock ensures that Will Smith lies, because he has not searched to the comedian to talk about being slapped at the Oscars.
According to NME, Tony claims that Smith is lying about contacting Rock to apologize for the incident.
“That was not true. I think two nights later she said, ‘I reached out to Chris and he didn’t want to talk.’ That was not true”he told BigBoyTV.
Saying he was hoping to get an apology from Smith as well, Tony, who appeared in Smith’s 2005 film “Hitch,” said it’s not necessary, but thought he’d have the courtesy.
“My phone number has never changed. So, I thought I’d get a phone call one day like, ‘Oh, let’s just talk you and me.’ It hasn’t happened, so I guess it’s not going to happen.”indicated.
At last year’s ceremony, Will Smith stormed onto the stage and punched Chris Rock after the comedian made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
After a series of apologies, directed at Rock and the organizers, Smith resigned from the Academy. He was later banned from attending all Academy events for 10 years.
It was recently reported that Smith has “unsuccessfully tried” to make amends with Rock since the incident, and People claims that Smith it has “felt terrible for so long” for the incident.
