A drone to take patients to the hospital is already in a trial period

An Israeli company has launched a drone prototype that would allow people in risk situations to be transported autonomously to hospitals or emergency services. Made in southern China, the Ehang 26 AAV drone can carry up to two passengers for about 35 kilometers.

The main advantage is that the autonomous vehicle would reach its destination faster, by being able to avoid traffic. In addition to people, the technology is designed to deliver medical supplies or bring food to remote areas.

A solution that, if it becomes a reality, could facilitate rescue tasks in extreme situations, such as those experienced in Libya after the floods, or in Morocco after the earthquake.
