Amalia Granata recently revived one of the most talked about romances of her youth: her brief but intense relationship with the English singer Robbie WilliamsThis story, which dates back to when Granata was 23 and Williams was 30, began in a context that many would remember as surreal.
The love at first sight between the two occurred when the international star appeared on the program Marcelo Tinelli, where a connection quickly arose that, although fleeting, left a mark on both of them.
Although Robbie Williams was quick to publicly declare his love for her during a concert in Chile, what was unknown until now were the reasons behind Granata’s decision to reject the famous singer. In an intimate chat with Angel De Brito on his streaming show “Bondi“, the current provincial deputy of Santa Fe, decided to open up and share details about that decision she made more than a decade ago.
The breaking point in her relationship with the singer, according to Granata, came when Robbie Williams asked her to accompany him to his concert on Telefe and then to travel with him to Chile. “I told him: ‘No, I have to go home'”the model recalled, emphasizing that at that time she prioritized her career and her life in Argentina, over the tempting offer to follow the singer on his South American tour.
Ángel De Brito, surprised by the revelation, could not help but compare the situation with the relationship that Granata had years later with the former footballer Christian “Ogre” Fabbiani. “But you said yes so many times to the Ogre Fabbiani… How are you going to say no to Robbie Williams?!” the driver exclaimed.
“The truth is that what I had in my head was that I didn’t even have a passport because I had left it in Rosario and I was very young. I didn’t have any money either if I wanted to go back later. The guy didn’t even offer me money for a taxi. So I started to think about how to tell him that I couldn’t.”explained Amalia Granata.
“It was a visit without sex… I never told anyone! He kind of acted cuddly and I didn’t want to because I had a boyfriend at the time. I wasn’t allowed to and my friend was downstairs,” She confessed, stressing that the presence of her friend and her relationship in Argentina were decisive in keeping the relationship on a platonic level.
However, the language barrier and distance were decisive factors in the communication between the two fading away over time. “As I didn’t know how to speak English, communication via email was lost and we never saw each other again,” The MP concluded, closing a chapter of her life that, although brief, remains one of the most talked about of her youth.
