Regardless of the genre, the poster of the most authentic festival in the city has always been made up of names that were about to fill stadiums. All in a weekend in which the new Pixar factory exhibition opens: a 3,000 square meter tent full of rooms that recreate scenes from films that have marked different generations. Festival B: A decade growing in Barcelona
It started 10 years ago on a small stage at Fabra y Coats and has now become one of the most important events of the city’s music scene. If you want to know what is about to succeed, you should go to the Parc del Fórum where B is expanded with a line-up of 30 artists and three stages: for today the proposals range from the pop ‘autotune’ of Cupido (8pm) or Sen Senra (9:40 p.m.), to the Argentine rock of ‘He Killed a Motorized Police’ (10:55 p.m.) and without forgetting the Catalan crooner Guillem Gisbert who presents his solo project at 9 p.m. Tomorrow is the day of the two women who lead the urban scene in Catalan (Mushkaa at 9pm and Julieta an hour later) although one of the most anticipated names of this edition is the Madrid-born Ralphie Choo: Rosalía’s latest signing will perform tomorrow at 11:45 p.m. with its unclassifiable mix of traditional and avant-garde sounds. This without forgetting that electronic fans have their own stage for the first time: the RA.B. There you can dance Italian trance with Marcelo Pantani (today at 12:30 a.m.) or play Afrobeat with Kadaira (tomorrow at 1 a.m.).
The Pixar world lands in Barcelona
In a 3,000 square meter tent to play La Maquinista, the largest exhibition is erected made so far by the animated film giant. A tour of 13 rooms full of 3D figures and recreations that can be seen, heard and smelled: you can be another toy in Andy’s room or smell the food being prepared in Ratatouille’s Parisian kitchen. You can visit Lightning McQueen’s workshop, the garden of Up’s house or the Monsters SA scare factory. After the success in Madrid with more than 600,000 visitors, the exhibition lands in Barcelona with some new features such as the incorporation of anxiety in the emotional control center of Inside Out. Learn to throw a beer or to distinguish between beers: Biergarten in Poble Espanyol
Starting this afternoon and throughout the weekend, the Hivernacle of Poble Espanyol It is filled with tables where one can try more than 20 different varieties of beer and accompany them with a good Frankfurt, Bratwurst or any other German gastronomic specialty. In addition, one can learn to serve a beer without foam or to differentiate between different varieties of beer and even be encouraged to participate in mug-lifting or Frankfurts-eating competitions.
