Losing is not something that people like Red Bull, Max Verstappen, and this has become evident during the Azebaijan Grand Prix from last weekend. And it is that while the race was being held in the Baku Street Circuit, the Dutchman was desperate and annoyed at not finding a way to catch up with his teammate and GP winner, Sergio ‘Checo’ Perez.
“What brand should I use at turn 3, I’m just at 7th and 8th?” Verstappen asked his team, to which the engineer in charge replied listlessly: “Seventh, Max.”
On the other side, Checo showed a very opposite state of mind through his radio. “Any change for the wing?” they asked Perez, who replied: “I’m happy how it’s going.”
Finally, ‘Checo’ ended up winning the Azerbaijan GP, while Verstappen had to settle for second place for Red Bull to get a new 1-2 and the Mexican was 6 points behind the Dutchman, leader of the Drivers’ Championship with 73 units. .
The next Formula 1 race is scheduled for next Sunday, May 7, in what will be the Miami Grand Prix.
