080 Barcelona Fashion Week kicked off its 31st edition this Tuesday with names as powerful as Escorpion, The Artelier and, of course, Simorra. The Spanish firm specializing in elegant fashion that is comfortable for the most sophisticated national client, has presented a fresh collection in the San Pau Art Nouveau Site in which fabrics take center stage.

Simorra’s spring/summer is homely, it seeks to value the importance of the everyday and the beauty that exists in simple things. Thus, cotton, jacquard and crochet weave flowing dresses, sometimes semi-transparent, for the woman who seeks to be elegant without sacrificing comfort.

In shades, the firm’s palette for this season moves between colors such as apple green -very trendy this 2023- red and pink in vichy prints and white, as the main color for summer, as well as denim in dresses, capes and hats.

In her collection there is a tile crochet dress, with fringes on the hem, which perfectly represents that relaxed but sophisticated aesthetic that the Simorra wardrobe seeks to unleash. “In-touch invites us to connect through our hands with the tactile landscapes of our memories. A proposal that understands fabrics as a space for dialogue in which to draw life stories, value trans-generational relationships”, explains the same firm in a press release.

In this line, the craftsmanship of the fabrics evokes summer houses and country style: embroidered cotton, macramé or tweed in warm textures, fresh white jacquards. Also noteworthy are the accessories that complete the catwalk outfits, such as pamela-type padded hats, shoulder bags and macramé bags.
