A fourth-grade teacher in Tennessee was arrested and charged with raping a 12-year-old boy and inappropriately contacting young children playing online video games.

Covington police detectives began investigating the woman when they received information on August 24 from the Tennessee Department of Child Services about a report of allegations of sexual misconduct involving a teacher and a former studentpolice said in the statement, according to People.
Later, several minors came forward saying that “They became friends with their former teacher, McCommon, who began playing video games with them. and then interacted with them through social media applications, which led her to allegedly send inappropriate photographs and solicit sexual relations with the victims,” police said in the statement.

Detectives from the Tipton County Sheriff’s Office and the Covington Police Department began working together after receiving information “regarding a victim or victims who were exposed to similar circumstances within the jurisdiction of the county, outside the boundaries of the city of Covington,” according to the statement.
Detectives continue to interview witnesses and identify other potential victims in the case. McCommon is scheduled to appear in court on October 13.
