Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse hits theaters next week, and fans of the iconic Marvel character are more than ready to see Miles Morales’ new adventure across the multiverse. Across the Spider-Verse comes as a direct sequel to Spider-Man: A New Universe – 
100% (Into the Spider-Verse), the acclaimed 2018 installment that revolutionized animation. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year and according to the first reactions of the critics, the public will not be disappointed.

Across the Spider-Verse is scheduled for a June 1 release, and early critical reactions say this new installment is a worthy successor to Into the Spider-VerseAcademy Award-winning film. Across the Spider-Verse is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K Thompsonfrom a script by Phil Lord , Christopher Miller and David Callahamand is produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel.
The film is based on the iconic Marvel Comics character, Miles Morales/Spider-Man, and brings back other major characters like Gwen Stacy/Spider-Gwen, Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man, along with many other versions of Spider-Man from other universes. Shameik Moore reprises his role as Miles Morales and Hailee Steinfeld like gwen stacy
In early May it was revealed that Across the Spider-Verse It has a duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes, and of course the fans were delighted with this news. The official synopsis of the tape says the following (via sony):
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter in the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport friendly Brooklyn neighbor Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People. , to face a villain more powerful than any they have ever met.

#AcrossTheSpiderVerse is yet another milestone for animation. Yes, it’s beautiful and visually stunning, but this sequel beats the first because it always puts Miles and his family front and center. Spider-Gwen rightfully steps into the spotlight as well, co-starring in the film.

SPIDER-MAN: Across the Spider-Verse isn’t surprisingly great. It’s a larger story, stretched throughout this movie and the next, but it’s still about Miles just wanting to be accepted for who he is. (There are *a lot* of spider people in this movie.) I laughed out loud like 8 times.
