The Spanish team faces Croatia in Berlin in its first match of Euro 2024. After four years of waiting (actually three, since Euro 2020 was played in 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic), Spain will fight for winning his fourth European title. Both teams share Group B of the competition with Italy and Albania.

In the last edition, which was held in England, Spain fell to Italy in the semifinals. The Italian team played the final against the host and finally won the victory in the penalty shootout, thus winning its second European Championship.

The last match played between Spain and Croatia was the final of the Nations League just a year ago, on June 18, 2023. On that occasion, the team now coached by Luis de la Fuente also won 4-5 in the penalties.

‘La Roja’ also comes from reaping good results in its friendly tour in recent months: two victories against Andorra (5-0) and Northern Ireland (5-1), a draw with Brazil (3-3) , and a distant defeat against Colombia last March (0-1).
