Seville will host the first Latin Grammys outside the US on November 16

For the first time in history, the Latin Grammy Awards will take place outside of the United States. The executive director of the Latin Recording Academy, Manuel Abud, announced this Thursday that the next edition will be held in Seville on November 16.

The Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of the Andalusian city, better known as Fibes, is the place chosen by the organizers for the gala for the 24th Latin music awards ceremony. The awards ceremony will be divided into two ceremonies: the Premiere, where most of the night’s awards will be given, and the delivery gala in which musical excellence is recognized.

As Abud commented at a press conference at the Real Alcázar in Seville, “this is the result of the unconditional support of our partners in the production and transmission of the events, as well as the community of Andalusia and the city of Seville” .

The city will participate very actively in the Week Latin Grammy”. The Latin Grammy nominations will be announced on Tuesday, September 19.

The announcement of the city as host of this edition was given during a press conference in February, where Juanma Moreno and Manuel Abud met to agree on the celebration of the gala. However, it has not been until today when the date and place of celebration have been made official. The collaboration between the musical entity and the board will extend over the next three years, as they stated in February.

Last October, Madrid already hosted one of the sessions of the Latin Grammy Acoustic Sessions, which until now had been held in various cities throughout the American continent, but not in Europe.
