Seth Rollins believes that the WWE women's division has not been able to be exhibited in recent months

Seth Rollins talks about the situation of the WWE women’s division in recent months.

Over the past few years, the women’s division of WWE has been a highlight in the company. However, as is often the case in the industry, popularity levels tend to fluctuate over time, and in recent months, the women’s division has experienced a bit of a plateau.

Seth Rollins, who is a partner of one of the main figures in the WWE women’s division, Becky Lynch, expressed on the WWE podcast, After The Bell, that in recent months the women’s division has not lived up to its potential . However, Rollins also pointed out that these types of ups and downs are common and that the men’s divisions can also experience them on certain occasions.

They haven’t been displayed, and I’m going to be honest with you, they haven’t been displayed as well as they could have been displayed in the last, you know, six months or so. They have not done it. Apart from a few exceptions, and I don’t need to pick and name names. Sometimes things are like that and that is part of the industry.

It is part of the business. I’ve been in situations where I absolutely feel like I haven’t been showcased, or male talent, in the same way. In my opinion, it has nothing to do with gender. It’s just a comment on the current situation. There are opportunities and I think Monday was a reminder of how amazing our roster of female talent is and can be when given the opportunity to star, to succeed and to be the best. I think everything is there. I’m looking forward to seeing who steps up and fills that space and takes over that ring.

In the months leading up to SummerSlam 2023, there was some controversy surrounding the women’s division of WWE. One of the most notorious aspects was the removal of the match between Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus from the undercard of the event, arguing that a considerable number of matches had already been scheduled. However, the other confirmed women’s bouts for the event went ahead as planned.
