After suffering a spectacular injury to the left kneethe Cleveland Browns lost star running back Nick Chubb early in the second quarter of their visit to the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Monday Night Football.”

Chubb was left lying on the field on the same play in which Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick was shaken. The injury occurred at the Pittsburgh 3-yard line, after an 8-yard second-and-goal gain.

The Browns running back received a direct hit to the knee from Fitzpatrick, in a play with a lot of player traffic.

Nick Chubb first tried to get up, helped by one of his companions, before shaking his head and asking for assistance. Chubb had to be taken off the field in the medical cart. The Cleveland running back received a standing ovation from the Cleveland fans as he was taken to the locker room.

Chubb left the game with 10 carries for 64 yards in just over a quarter of action, clearly becoming the lynchpin of Cleveland’s attack. He was replaced in the first instance by Jerome Ford, who scored a touchdown on a short pass from Deshaun Watson on the play following the injury.

The injury was so shocking that the ESPN network refused to broadcast replays of the play, considering them too violent.but the repetitions could be seen at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, causing great consternation among the public.

Sports stars like LeBron James showed their concern on social media about Chubb’s injury.
