The singer and actress Selena Gomez will be the presenter of two cooking programs from the Food Network television channel, from Warner Bros. Discovery, which will premiere in late 2023 and early 2024.
The entertainment company reported in a statement that the first project starring Gomez will be “a new series focused on the celebration,” which will arrive “just in time” for the year-end holidays.
The other program will bring together the singer of “Love You Like a Love Song” with the best chefs in the United States to prepare their most popular dishes from their kitchens.
The television network did not announce the name that these two productions will have, nor the exact date on which they will see the light.
In 2020, Gomez launched “Selena + Chef” for the streaming platform HBO Max, her first cooking show in which in each episode she faced a new gastronomic challenge from her home stove.
The project arose amid the lockdown caused by the pandemic, and the final season released in 2022 received a 2023 Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Culinary Series.
In recent years, Gomez’s career, which for a long time was more focused on music, has once again taken a strong impulse on television.
Currently, the 30-year-old singer stars in and produces the series “Only Murders in the Building”, in which she plays Mabel Mora, a fan of crime stories, who ends up involved in a real case.
His work earned him a People’s Choice Award in 2021, as well as a 2023 Golden Globe nomination.
The premiere of the third season of “Only Murders in the Building”, in which Steve Martin and Martin Short also participate, is scheduled for August 8 and will feature a special performance by Meryl Streep.
