In addition to the possible dismissal of Pérez Fesfut also indicated his desire to find an appropriate replacement that is available for both the Concacaf Nations League and the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
The decision to leave Pérez as coach of El Salvador is mainly due to the low number of victories during his cyclethe last game that revealed his dismissal was the 2-3 defeat against Trinidad and Tobago in Concacaf League A in the Nations League.
The team’s last victory dates back to June 2022 (more than a year ago) and along the way it has suffered defeats against direct rivals such as Guatemala, Martinique and Nicaragua.
In total there have been more than 40 games for Pérez on the bench, with nine wins, 12 draws and 22 losses during two Gold Cups, the Qatar 2022 Qualifiers and friendly matches.
