The British production companies BBC and Banijay opened an investigation into Russell Brand, accused of rape and sexual assault.
“In light of the very serious allegations raised by the Dispatches and The Times/Sunday Times investigation in relation to the alleged serious misconduct of Russell Brand while presenting programs produced by Endemol in 2004 and 2005, Banijay UK has launched an internal investigation urgent and will cooperate with any requests for information from broadcast partners and external agencies.”

According to a journalistic investigation, the actor and comedian has been accused by four women of sexual assault between 2006 and 2013, in addition to predatory behavior and emotional abuse.
His actions allegedly included raping a woman against the wall of his home in Los Angeles, and forcing another, who was a minor, to perform oral sex on him..
In a video on his social networks, Brand, who was the husband of singer Katy Perry, denied being guilty of the accusations, which belonged to a time in which he was very promiscuous.
“Now, during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely consensual,” he noted.
