Robert Kennedy is running in the 2024 election

robert kennedythe nephew of former US President John F. Kennedy, presented his candidacy for the primaries of the Democratic Party for the 2024 elections.

Kennedy, who is a lawyer and activist against vaccines, today presented his candidacy with the Federal Election Committee, US media reported.

With the announcement by the son of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy, two high-profile politicians have already confirmed their desire to contest the 2024 Democratic nomination.

Marianne Williamson, a self-help book writer, was the first to run for the Democratic nomination, last March.

The current president, Joe Biden, has not officially announced that he will run for re-election.

Kennedy, 69, has become one of the leading voices in the anti-vaccine movement in the US at the hands of the Children’s Health Defense organization, of which he is founder and president.

In January of this year, Kennedy, along with other anti-vaccine figures, filed a lawsuit in Texas against several international media organizations, including the BBC and Reuters, alleging that they worked with social media platforms to censor their content.

In 2021, Instagram closed his account on that network for spreading “debunked” claims about the coronavirus and pandemic vaccines.

On the Republican side there are already four candidates: former President Donald Trump (2017-2021), former US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson.
