Today is Thursday night and you know what that means, Ring of Honor show turn. On today’s show, we had two starting defenses from Samoa Joe for the World Television Championship and Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Championship.

Results of the ROH show of May 4, 2023

  • Rocky Romero defeats Lee Moriarty, accompanied by Big Bill, in a Pure Rules Match to open the evening.
  • Athena defeats Angelica Risk in a Test Match for a shot at the ROH World Women’s Championship.
  • Samoa Joe defeats Christopher Daniels to retain the World Television Championship.
  • Claudio Castagnoli defeats Robbie Eagles to retain the Company World Championship.
  • Backstage, Skye Blue claims that Athena is disrespectful and meddles in matters that are not her concern. Also, she commented on how the champion made fun of her last week and how she bullies the fighters in the dressing room just to make herself look dominant when she really isn’t. Therefore, Skye says that if Athena thinks of her taunting her, chasing her and trying to hit her, she could do it by putting the Women’s World Championship on the line in a match.
  • Best Friends (Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor), Darius Martin, Action Andretti and Stu Grayson defeat The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) and Varsity Athletes (Ari Daivari, Josh Woods and Tony Nese).
  • Backstage, Athena mocks Skye Blue’s title challenge and highly doubts she can give him a great fight. However, the champion ends up accepting the challenge. Although, she made it clear that just because she’s pretty doesn’t mean opportunities will rain down on her. Therefore, Athena plans to set a precedent with Skye Blue to the point of seeking to humiliate her and make her notice that she does not deserve to be in AEW, much less in her women’s division.
  • Preston Vance, accompanied by José The Assistant, defeats Rich Adonis.
  • Action Andretti and Darius Martin were doing a promo until they receive a surprise attack from The Kingdom. The latter leave the two fighters brutally injured in the corridors of the enclosure.
  • Skye Blue defeats Robyn Renegade.
  • Brian Cage, accompanied by Prince Nana, defeats Brock Anderson.
  • Willow Nightingale defeats Steph De Lander.
  • In the ROH Main Event, Komander defeats Angelico to close out this week’s show.
