Mark Robinson, Republican lieutenant governor of the state of North Carolina and who is currently running for governor of the entity, mocked the survivors of a massacre that occurred in a Florida school during the year 2018according to a CNN report.
According to the investigations carried out by CNN, Robinson published, through his social networks, mockery about the survivors of the massacre that occurred at the Maryory Stoneman Douglas School, in Parkland Florida.
In a Facebook post reviewed by CNN, which is dated just two weeks after the shooting occurred in Florida, Robinson called the students protesting to restrict gun sales “spoiled, angry, know-it-all kids who are trying to explain to adults that we must give up our constitutional right to own certain firearms.”“.
In English, Robinson’s message was: “Spoiled, angry, know it all CHILDREN who are trying to tell law abiding ADULTS that we must give up our Constitutional RIGHT to own certain weapons”.
Robinson also directly mocked David Hogg, one of the massacre survivors who co-founded the March for Our Lives movement to restrict gun control in the US after the massacre. He called him “a little immature fool”.
Specifically, Robinso said that it was a “silly little immature ‘media prosti-tots’”.
Robinson made North Carolina history by becoming the first African-American man to be elected lieutenant governor of the state in 2020, and announced his candidacy for governor last monthaccording to information from The Hill news portal.
His views have been questioned by the Democratic political spherewho has described it as an extremist.
