Real Madrid begin their campaign this season by playing the European Super Cup against Atalanta at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw. The reigning La Liga and Champions League champions face the Europa League winners in search of their fourth title of the year.
The European Super Cup could be the first competition that Kylian Mbappé, the big signing of the summer, plays as a Real Madrid player. The French star has already trained with the Merengue club, but there is a lot of expectation to see him on the pitch dressed in white. This could also be the first official match for Endrick, who has already played several friendly matches this preseason in the United States.
The Italian side will be looking for their first win against the most successful team on the continent. Real Madrid and Atalanta have only met twice, both in the round of 16 of the 2020/21 Champions League. The Whites won that tie, first winning the first leg in Bergamo (0-1) and then the return leg at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium (3-1).
