The presentation took place at a ceremony in the city of Los Angeles, where the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, and some other sports legends such as the Brazilian Ronaldo Nazario; These two figures were precisely in charge of revealing the logo for the 2026 World Cup.

The logo is designed on a black base and features the number ’26’ in rather modern digits in white. For its part, in the center is the image of the World Cup trophy and the word FIFA appears at the bottom.

It’s a cry… a moment when three countries and an entire continent say in unison: ‘We stand together to welcome the world and deliver the greatestbest and most inclusive World Cup in history”, said Infantino.

FIFA explained that for the first time in history the trophy and its name will be included in the logo. with the aim that each of the countries can customize it to their liking. It was also announced that the official hashtag of the competition will be #WeAre26 (We are 26) as a sign of the union by the three nations.

The 2026 World Cup in Mexico, the United States and Canada will start on June 9 and end on July 19 of that year. However, it is not known which of these nations will be in charge of having the inauguration or the final.

Fans criticized the logo

Despite the excitement on the part of the authorities in this logo, fans on social networks strongly criticized this proposal, alleging that it does not have the greatest development in terms of design.
