Baseball player Randy Arozarena became one of the most important pieces of the Mexican team during the World Baseball Classic (WBC) played at the beginning of the year, for which it has earned the affection of all the Aztec fans despite being a naturalized figure to reinforce its squad.
During the Tampa Bay Rays game played on Sunday, the team had the special presence of the chancellor of Mexico, Marcelo Ebrard, who took advantage of his work tour of the United States to attend Tropicana Field and enjoy the game that the Rays played against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Ebrard had the opportunity to live with the Mexican Major League star on the pitch and with some of his compatriots who were present in the stands to support Arozarena.
The most interesting thing about this fact is that the Rays slugger sent a message to Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) to visit the team’s facilities and later make the inaugural launch of the game they play that night.
“President, thank you for your support, thank you for trusting baseball, keep supporting baseball and Mexico will grow. I send you a message from your friend Randy Arozarena. Thank God that he helped him recover from the covid and I hope to see him soon in a game here in Tampa”, said Randy Arozarena.
Let’s remember that Mexico made history in the World Baseball Classic after reaching third place in the competition. For his part, in the 2023 Major League season, he has a .308 batting average thanks to a total of 53 hits, 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 33 runs scored in 172 at-bats.
