Puerto Rico will host the fifth edition of the Caribbean Baseball Cup | The USA Print

Puerto Rico will host the Caribbean Baseball Cup between October 1 and 8. This will be the fifth edition of the competition held annually by the Caribbean Baseball Confederation.

To be disputed in the Concepción Pérez Alberto de Fajardo and Francisco Negrón Díaz stadiums from Las Piedras, as reported by the Puerto Rico Baseball Federation. In addition to the commonwealth, the other teams that will participate are Cuba, Curacao and the US Virgin Islands.

The Puerto Rican team won the previous edition after winning 5-1 last year in the Bahamas.

“Puerto Rico is honored to welcome our brother Caribbean countries for a great baseball party. For one week, we will have the opportunity to enjoy top-class competition and defend the championship at home,” expressed José Daniel Quiles, president of the Puerto Rico Baseball Federation.

This tournament is endorsed by the World Baseball Softball Confederation and awards points for the men’s baseball world ranking.
