Barcelona women’s team has won the Champions League. It is the third time that Barça has won the competition, but this time they have beaten Olympique Lyon, eight-time champion and historic winner in Europe. After sweeping Spain for years, the Catalan team can now do so across the continent. It is a pioneer in the professionalization of the women’s soccer team, although not having rivals at its level can slow down the competition, something that is already experienced in the Spanish league.
