Marquise Johnson, a suspect in a Pennsylvania homicide, was arrested by police in New Jersey after he was found hiding inside a washing machine. in an Airbnb rental in Atlantic City.

According to the Montgomery County (PA) District Attorney’s Office, Johnson and his alleged accomplice Cody Reed, both 23 years old, wanted in connection with the murder of Daquan Tucker (25) last month.

Tucker’s body was found by a bicyclist with multiple gunshot wounds near the Schuylkill River Trail in West Norriton (PA) on the morning of March 3.

More than a month later, this Thursday, April 6, the US Marshals, with the help of the Atlantic City police and agents SWAT, They located Reed and Johnson in an Airbnb rental apartment in that city.

Reed was found on the property and arrested without incident around 5:15 p.m. Thursday. But Johnson’s capture was more problematic.recounted ABC News.

The district attorney’s office said Johnson arrived at 7.30pm and barricaded himself. After a confrontation of almost four hoursAtlantic City SWAT entered the apartment and found him hiding inside a washing machine, reported Pix11.

The motive for the crime is not clear. but according to the prosecution the suspects knew the victim, who the night before he died went to Reed’s home in Norristown and Johnson was also there.

Reed and Johnson were accused of murder, robbery, conspiracy, illegal possession of a firearm and related charges. Both defendants will be extradited to Pennsylvania. All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
