Wednesday is a busy day for the Spanish delegation in Paris. The day begins with the possibility of a medal in the mixed marathon walk relay, with two candidates in the running. Throughout the day, there are two other opportunities to win medals: Daniel Arce in the men’s 3000-metre steeplechase and Ayoub Ghadfa Drissi will be looking for a place in the boxing final in the +92 kilo category.
In the midst of these competitions, the Spanish swimmers will participate in artistic swimming in the hope of winning a medal in the team category. In the morning, the Hispanos will face Egypt in handball. Shortly after, Olympic medalist Alberto Ginés will compete in the bouldering semi-final. In sailing, Gisela Pulido will participate in the kite category. In addition, the men’s water polo team will face Croatia in the quarter-finals. To end the day, the women’s basketball team will play against Belgium, seeking to advance to the next round.
