OTT rights for star hero movies are between 50 to 200 crores. That’s why they are giving a new version for OTT instead of the movie seen in the theater. The makers did the same thing in the case of Jawaan and Leo last year. Because of that, the viewership has increased. Recently, Venkat Prabhu will give a similar extended OTT version of Goat.
The makers are preparing this OTT version with the name Director’s Cut. Sandeep Reddy Vanga gave director’s cut for Animal and Arjun Reddy movies. This formula was also successful. And Prashant Varma is preparing Hanuman International version for OTT. A few other films are following the same formula.
