Olivia Culpo has come out in defense of her wedding look and makeup. The model responded to a comment on an Instagram post with the following caption: “It was an interview… they asked me what my makeup was like.”

This is in reference to an interview she gave to Vogue, the media outlet that covered the wedding, in which she confessed that she did not use mascara, lip liner or eyebrow pencil. In a video on TikTok, a user named Jess Wesli criticized her makeup and called it too simple for a wedding.

Culpo married football player Christian McCaffrey on June 29 at a grand event held at the historic Ocean House resort in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Her dress was designed by the renowned firm Dolce & Gabbana.

Despite having a well-known design house, she received negative comments on social media. Another TikToker, named Kennedy Bingham, pointed out that the Miss Universe 2012 dress gave off “pick me” vibes.

In the video, she said that the “absence of personality” in the wedding dress was evident.

“It is very clear that this was not a wedding, it was a conservative campaign. And it was not even well done.”said the TikToker, whose username is Gown Eyed Girl.

Olivia Culpo’s husband responds to criticism

Both Olivia Culpo and her husband, Christian McCaffrey, responded more directly to Bingham’s criticism, calling her “evil.”

“What an evil thing to post online”wrote the American football player. While the model commented “Wow, what an evil person you are,” and later pointed out “I hope no one rips you apart like this because it is extremely painful. I love this dress and it was everything I ever wanted and more.”.

Despite this, the TikToker did not retract her opinion and explained her reasons in the comments section.

After this controversy, the model told her followers that she was ready to leave the subject behind and on her Instagram profile she highlighted that it was the dress she always wanted.

The couple met on a blind date in 2019 and got engaged in April last year.
