An impressive work of Nikola Jokic sentenced this Monday the victory of the Denver Nuggets 113-111 against the Los Angeles Lakers which ended up being swept 4-0 at Crypto.com Arena.
As usual, Jokic carried the equipment over his shoulder again and with a new triple-double of 30 points, 14 assists and 13 rebounds he commanded some Nuggets who will now play their first NBA Finals after being the best team in the West in the regular season.
Furthermore, his acting became the player with the most triple-doubles in playoff history in the NBA (8), surpassing other league legends such as Wilt Chamberlain, Magic Johnson or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
The Joker’s performance was also supported by Jamal Murray, who finished with 25 points and five assists, while Aaron Gordon finished the game with 22 points and six rebounds.
In a lost cause the Lakers finished with LeBron James as his top figure, contributing 40 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
Now Jokic, Murray, Gordon and company will look for the first ring in their history against the winner of the Eastern final, which Miami Heat dominates 3-0 against Boston Celtics.
