The Orchestra and Choir Foundation of the Community of Madrid presents a new season in the National Music Auditorium. The program is made up of a total of 14 concerts (10 in the Symphonic Cycle and 4 in Chamber Time) and will be the first with maestro Alondra de la Parra as the titular and artistic director of the ORCAM. The new ORCAM season brings together pieces from the great repertoire and explores other proposals with an exciting connection with Latin America. This week we offer you the opportunity to attend the following concerts:
- Camera time I, The soul of the winds (Sunday, October 27 at 7:30 p.m.): The chamber cycle begins with a musical program composed by the Mass of Igor Stravinsky and the Mass no. 2 in E minorby Anton Bruckner. Performed by an instrumental ensemble and the Choir of the Community of Madrid, under the direction of maestro Josep Vila i Casañas, chief conductor of the choral group.
- Symphonic Cycle III, Catharsis (Tuesday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m.): The Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid, under the direction of Alondra de la Parra, will perform two pieces by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Symphony No. 31 in D major, K. 297 Paris and Mass in C minor, K. 427. With the participation of the soloists Siobhan Stagg and Olivia Vermeulen (sopranos), Antoni Lliteres (tenor), Manel Esteve (bass), and the choir is directed by Josep Vila i Casañas.
