The Minnesota Timberwolves penalized their star center with a one-game suspension on Monday Rudy Gobert for punching a teammate in the face during last Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The disciplinary sanction of the Minnesota Timberwolves towards Gobert was above the momentous match against the Los Angeles Lakers for the Play-In, in which the currency will face the Los Angeles Lakers of LeBron James, Anthony Davis and company.

The Frenchman’s attitude had gone around the world after he argued with Kyle Anderson in a timeout and later faced him to connect the right hand.

This provoked an almost immediate response from Anderson but the coaching staff stopped the confrontation dead, prioritizing the game in which Minnesota won 113-108 against New Orleans.

However, Gobert was suspended from the very match and was immediately taken to the locker room, unable to return to compete in that match.

If they lose to the Lakers, the Wolves will play against the winner of the key between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Pelicans, in a game in which Gobert would be available again.
