Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer StoryNetflix’s new serial killer thriller based on true crime, has terrified viewers since its first scenes.

The series stars the actor from Mare of EasttownEvan Peters, as the man also known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal” or the “Milwaukee Monster,” who committed the murders and dismemberment of 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.

It hit the platform on Thursday, September 22, and many viewers find the gruesome scenes too difficult to process.

“I stopped watching it in episode two…Jeffrey Dahmer is too sick and twisted and I can’t take this s***,” one viewer tweeted.

“With this Jeffrey Dahmer series I’m scared to go outside,” considered another, while a third called it “very nauseating”, adding: “What the f*** is wrong with this fool?”.

Some praised Peters’ performance: “Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer is so amazing. To the point where this whole series makes me feel very uncomfortable and terrified.”

“This new Jeffrey Dahmer show on Netflix doesn’t connect well with my spirit. I’m stressed and scared,” posted another.

“Wake up and can’t sleep so scared,” one person tweeted.

The show reunites Peters with the creator of American Horror StoryRyan Murphy, and also stars Molly Ringwald, Niecy Nash and Michael Beach.
