The Argentine midfielder for Atlanta United, Thiago Almada, gave a class on how to take a free kick this Wednesday during the 13th round of the MLS by scoring a great goal in the beating of his team against Colorado Rapids.

Although the match was led by Atlanta 4-0 against Colorado, all eyes were on Thiago Almada’s goal, who once again showed his class when taking shots from set pieces.

During the 29th minute of the match and with the score 0-0, a foul left the dangerous free kick near the Colorado area. But regardless of the four men on the wall and the player lying down to avoid a low shot, the World Champion put the ball into the corner of the rival goal when he shot on goal.

Knowing the importance of his goal, taking into account that Atlanta had accumulated four consecutive losses including a Cup elimination against Memphis 901, Almada ran to celebrate with his teammates and vented his accumulated frustration.

This was the sixth goal this season for Almada, who although he scored the great goal from a free kick also missed a penalty in the first half.

Later, near the end of the match, the Brazilian midfielder Luiz Araujo, Tyler Wolff and Georgios Giakoumakis put final figures.
