Teams joined in the Star Wars celebration

Star Wars has become one of the most important sagas in the history of cinema due to the great change that it generated both on a technical level and especially in the way of watching movies, for this reason fans have adopted May 4 as the annual date to celebrate these movies.
In celebration of World Star Wars Day, also known as “May The Fourth Be With You”, a large number of teams from various sports disciplines have decided to take time to celebrate this date and especially all fans of the iconic science fiction saga.
Among these congratulations are those of several teams, including the Kansas City Royals, who shared a photograph of the character BB8, along with the phrase “May The Fourth Be With You”.
Other teams to celebrate this date were the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Oakland Athletics. For their part, the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros will hold commemorative activities.
Soccer
Soccer did not miss this opportunity and also several of the most important teams in the world decided to join the celebration and took a moment to refer to Star Wars for their day.
One of these was Real Madrid, who shared a video of Alaba carrying a chair that ended up glowing and referring to lightsabers. For its part, Atlético de Madrid posted a photograph of ‘Cholo’ Simeone with the phrase: “I am your father”.
Other teams such as Bayer Leverkusen from Germany, Los Angeles Galaxy and Atlas FC from the United States, América de Cali from Colombia, Club Pachuca from Liga MX and even the Mexican National Team also shared publications about it.
