This Friday, the Spanish Prosecutor’s Office asked Judge Francisco de Jorge, the lawyer investigating the case of the kiss of the former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) Luis Rubiales to the player Jenni Hermoso, that the former cannot approach or communicate with the soccer player.
According to EFE, The Prosecutor’s Office asked the National Court of Spain that Rubiales not be able to get closer than 500 meters to the player. nor communicate with her by any means during the investigation.
Prosecutor’s sources informed EFE that the public ministry’s request also requested that Rubiales appear every fifteen days before the judge, who must now decide whether to agree to these requests.
The former president of the RFEF testified this Friday for an hour and remained firm in denying all the facts attributed to him, both the coercion and the lack of consent in the kiss.
For her part, Jenni Hermoso’s lawyer, Carla Vall, requested precautionary measures for Rubiales and reiterated that “it was a non-consensual kiss.”
“Everyone saw the images, the whole country saw them. And we can precisely say that thanks to this, thanks also to social change, to legal change, “In some way we can maintain that there was a complete lack of consent on the part of Mr. Rubiales,”explained the lawyer to the journalists gathered before the National Court.
