I’m loving you madly It was one of the best Spanish films of 2023, and if it has an endearing character, it is The Dani, stage name of Daniel Fernández Pozo from Malaga. The artist – or the artist, because he declares himself a non-binary person – liked his role so much in this story about the birth of the LGTBI movement in Seville in the seventies that won a Feroz award and received a Goya nomination.

Pakoras by La Dani

Ingredients

For 4 people

  • 1 and ½ green pepper
  • ½ onion
  • 2 small potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • ½ tablespoon turmeric
  • ½ tablespoon cumin
  • ½ tablespoon chili powder
  • 125 g chickpea flour
  • Olive oil
  • Salt

Instructions

1.

Cut the pepper and onion into julienne strips.

2.

Peel and grate the potatoes.

3.

Mix the onion, pepper, potato, garam masalaturmeric, cumin, chili powder and salt.

4.

Add the chickpea flour, mix well and add about 100 milliliters of water. Mix and add a little more water if necessary.

5.

Heat a finger of olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

6.

When it is hot, fry small portions of the vegetable dough until they are well done on the inside and golden brown on the outside.

7.

Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot, accompanied by any sauce.
