A family with a six-year-old boy, Olympique Marseille fans, suffered a series of attacks on the Nantes pitch, a situation that ended with the boy’s father being admitted to hospital due to a heart attack.
As reported by EFE, the man received a double heart attack on Friday nights at the Beaujoire stadium, where Nantes received Olympique de Marseille in a match that they drew 1-1. According to the story offered by the mother of the family, Alicia Mahé, on her X account (formerly Twitter), her son attended a soccer stadium for the first time.
“Everything did not develop correctly. Our mistake: being fans of Marseille and having let him put on the shirt for the game”, said the woman in networks and later in the media.
“We were attacked during the game: spitting, insults, beers thrown in our faces… Wanting to defend his family, my husband had a heart attack in the stands. And then again some idiots from the Loire tribune didn’t have any respect. They took ‘selfies’ in front of the ambulance and more insults,” said Mahé-
The 39-year-old father was taken to the hospital and was still in intensive care this Sunday.
The mother’s conclusion is that her son “lived his first game in a stadium in France and his father was about to die defending the family.” She ironically criticizes the club employees whom she considers “incompetent” because “they didn’t do anything”.
