And he added: “This should never have happened. But it happened and the FIFA disciplinary bodies immediately assumed their responsibility, taking the necessary measures. Disciplinary procedures will follow their legitimate course.”
FIFA opened a disciplinary file against Luis Rubiales on August 24 and then provisionally suspended him from all football activity, national and international, for ninety days, while what happened is investigated.
