An Indiana woman was arrested last Monday by Wayne County police, and was accused of faking a heart attack and hiding a plastic sandwich bag full of illegal drugs in her private parts.

Authorities said Amanda Smith, 41, was taken into custody during a traffic investigation in which officers suspected possible drug activity when a police dog searched the vehicle, indicating the presence of narcotics. She was formally charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in narcotics, trafficking in cocaine, and trafficking in controlled substances.

When the woman was arrested, she immediately pretended to have suffered a heart attack, but refused to be evaluated by medical services. Smith was taken to a local hospital, where she continued to refuse medical attention or remove her clothing, court documents stated..

The suspect told police she had some fentanyl hidden in her underwear, but nurses saw a plastic sandwich bag hidden in her private parts.

Upon being incarcerated at the Wayne County Jail, rHe performed a body scan that showed an “abnormality in his pelvic area.”according to the court document.

The suspect continued to deny that she was hiding anything, until she finally admitted to hiding drugs inside her private parts, and produced a “plastic sandwich bag the size of an avocado,” the documents added.

When illegal drugs were analyzed, Police found 38.9 grams of methamphetamine, 10.4 grams of crack cocaine and 9.2 grams of fentanyl.
