“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” will open in theaters on June 30. But in the face of this good news, the LucasFilm production, starring Harrison Ford as the legendary archaeologist hero and directed by James Mangold returns to the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday, May 18.
According to an official statement, we know that this final installment of the beloved franchise will be screened at the festival out of competition.
The producer of the tape has provided a couple of statements in this regard: “In 1995, I had the honor of coming to Cannes with my first film part of Director’s Fortnite. Twenty-eight years later, I’m proud to return with a slightly bigger show. My legendary collaborators and I are so excited to share with you one new and latest Indiana Jones adventure!”

The protagonists of this new film starring Ford are: Phoebe Waller-Bridge (“Fleabag”), Antonio Banderas (“Pain and Glory”), John Rhys-Davies (“Raiders of the Lost Ark”), Toby Jones (“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom”) , Boyd Holbrook (“ Logan”), Ethann Isidore (“Mortel”) and Mads Mikkelsen (“Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore”).
Directed by James Mangold, the film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas serving as executive producers. John Williams, who has scored every Indy adventure since the original “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in 1981, has returned to compose the score.
