Professionals and companies from the audiovisual sector from more than 30 countries meet at Matadero Madrid between October 1 and 4 to provide visibility to fiction content in Spanish and Portuguese. The fourth edition of Iberseries & Platino Industria has the participation of representatives from major production companies such as HBO, BBC Studios, Sony Pictures Television, Amazon Studios, Prime Video or Warner Bros Discovery. PRISA Media, with LACOproductora, as an audiovisual producer, collaborates for the second year with these conferences, which seek to enhance the industrial connection of business and talent in the audiovisual sector.
Throughout its four days, the event promotes the viewing of audiovisual and cinematographic content aimed at interested buyers, organizes training workshops, co-production and financing forums, as well as conferences with various leading professionals in the sector.
Among the guests of this edition are the actress and now also producer and director, Paz Vega, who will talk about her transition from the art of acting to directing; Evan Shapiro, Emmy and Peabody Award-winning entertainment industry analyst; o Sofía Fábregas, content producer for Disney+ Spain. The presence of PRISA Media, in addition to how media partner, will be reflected in the participation of the deputy content director of PRISA Audio, Eugenio Viñas in the talk Remakes beyond adaptationsalong with other professionals in the sector. Viñas will share the relationship between some audiovisual content and the world of podcastwith some success stories where an audio product has become serial. In addition, EL PAÍS TV, the connected television channel of the newspaper EL PAÍS, will be promoted within the forum, which can currently be seen on Samsung, LG, Xiaomi televisions and on Rakuten TV, as well as on the Tivify platform.
Last year PRISA Media already supported this initiative from the PRISA Video area – the unit in charge of developing audiovisual projects for PRISA’s own brands and for third parties – with the participation of its director, Fran Llorente.
